Removing DOIs in Citation but not Bibliography?

I am using Chicago footnote format and plan to have a full bibliography.DOIs take up needless footnote space but I will have to probably include them in the bibliography.Is there a way to delete DOIs from footnotes automatically?Doing them by hand seems needlessly laborious :/
