Updated from 6 to 7 caused all title formatting to disappear.

188BET靠谱吗I'm new to Zotero, and when I initially imported all my files to 7 from EndNote, they looked good but had a bunch of weird tags.I reverted to 6 (to use Zutillo, since that seems to be the only way to batch-delete tags) which worked great!I then tried to upgrade back to 7, and upon doing so, all the capitalization was removed from my entries. Is there any way to avoid this?I'm worried about fixing it manually and having it happen again.I work with a LOT of proper nouns and papers, so it would be a couple days of work to manually fix them all.TIA!
  • Could you give an example what got lost?Your title says "formatting" the question "capitalization" -- neither should get lost, but I'm a bit confused what actually happened.
  • A title that read "A catalogue of the robber flies (Diptera: Asilidae) of Wyoming" became "A catalogue of the robber flies (diptera: asilidae) of wyoming".Essentially, all my titles became sentence-case, without respect to proper nouns.

Sorry if I was unclear at first!Hopefully that helps.
  • 188BET靠谱吗Zotero certainly didn't do this automatically. There's a manual sentence-case option when you right-click on titles in the Info pane, but that's it.
  • I have seen the manual sentence case option that can be clicked, but being that I have 891 references and it's happened to all of them, I don't think I forgot clicking that 891 times? Is there any other potential explanation?
  • You just did a regular update to version 7, no export/import or anything of the kind? What add ons do you use?
  • From start to where we are now:
188BET靠谱吗I exported my library from EndNote, and imported into Zotero 7,
I did some reading and realized the only way to clean up my tags would be to downgrade to 6, then install Zutillo.188BET靠谱吗I downgraded, installed Zutillo, deleted all the tags, and then closed Zotero.188BET靠谱吗I reinstalled and upgraded Zotero 7, and upon opening my library, it was all there, just with the changes to the titles.188BET靠谱吗I can also just stick to 6, and hold off on 7, but it was a weird enough thing, that I wanted to make sure it wasn't a common occurrence in Zotero, before I make the switch.

188BET靠谱吗It's not that it's not a "common occurrence" — I'm explaining that Zotero did not do this.188BET靠谱吗There's literally no code in Zotero to change title case across multiple items.(It's in fact something people have asked for, but it does not exist now.) So either this happened during the export/import and you're misremembering or some plugin you installed changed the titles.
  • 188BET靠谱吗I am not familiar enough with Zotero for there to have been other plug-ins, so I will assume it was the export/import.
