Folder doesn't show the content of its sub-folders

If I create subfolders, the folder they're in doesn't show any of the entries I put into its subfolders.This hasn't ever been the case and started happening after some update.I can't even find a single setting to change this.What do I do?

View → Show Items from Subcollections.It's off by default.
