Audiobook entry type is still an issue

I'm trying to cite an audiobook for my research paper.Neither the Book citation format nor the Audio Recording format fit my needs.I read adamsmith's responses at 188BET靠谱吗https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/56024/new-category-for-audiobooks, and their arrogance and lack of accommodation blew me away.Half the books I take in these days come in the form of audiobooks.Please do something about this.In particular, I need a format that contains both an author and a performer.Usability matters.

    I don't think that you'll get far here in this forum with ad hominem attacks.See our forum etiquette.Especially if it's about one of the very few people in this world who can actually help you with this issue.

    Please provide some details and we can give you concrete help.
    1.What citation style?
    2.What do the guidelines of said citation style item say?
    2.What is the style currently producing as output for you?What is the required output?
  • (FWIW, I think the discussion and info in the other thread is quite helpful and productive and contains specific solutions)
  • Since that thread, CSL now has a narrator variable.You can add a narrator to a book item by entering it in Extra like this:

    narrator: Smith || John A.

    This will appear in CSL styles that include the narrator variable.The APA CSL has been updated to include narrator when provided!if there are other styles that need to be updated to fit your needs, please let us know.
