Pages in information about the resource

What do the value pages in the information about the resource stay for?Is it the total amount of pages of a magazine, for example, or is it the starting and ending page of an article within the journal?

    It's a bit hard to understand what you are asking.
    If you are asking what the "Pages" in the metadata for a journal article mean, they are the pages of the article in the magazine.Think of a print magazine, and these are the corresponding pages where this article appears.Very similar to a book chapter, so the starting and ending page as you say.
    Note that with a lot being digital now, some journals use e numbers to do the same.
