Double issue date entry

We are discussing the case of a journal double issue with publication date 1970/71.The years should be printed exactly as "1970/71" which is not possible with entry in Extra as issued: 1970/1971(the recommended form for date ranges). From earlier experiements I know that the date entered as issued: "1970/71"in Extra is interpreted literally and will print the expected result (at least in Word).

Is this expected or rather by accident and will break any time? Can I recommend my colleagues to use this format until a better solution might be found?
  • If this needs to be printed in a specific way, it might just make more sense to enter it as an issue number rather than a date?

I wouldn't rely on 1970/71 to keep working the way it does, no.

好的。In the actual case this works. It might however conflict with no-date-rules (which don't exist in the style the researcher here uses).
  • (CSL 1.1 will have formal support for date ranges)
