takes longer time to link a file attachment

i put all of my ebooks in a external harddisk.188BET靠谱吗when an item in zotero links to that file, it takes longer time to find the file.is it normal?

    already resolved.the problem is with the scite plug-in.188BET靠谱吗after uninstalling it, Zotero runs smoothly again.thanks for your response.
