About the disambiguation in Food Chemistry style

edited October 5, 2021
According to the Guide for authors of Food Chemistry ( https://www.elsevier.com/journals/food-chemistry/0308-8146/guide-for-authors),
List: references should be arranged first alphabetically and then further sorted chronologically if necessary.More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be identified by the letters 'a', 'b', 'c', etc., placed after the year of publication.
the disambiguation should be
(Ahmad., et al., 2020a), (Ahmad., et al., 2020b) and (Ahmad., et al., 2020c)
for the example references, however, when I formatted using the food-chemistry.csl, it displayed as

(Ahmad, Ritzoulis, Pan, & Chen, 2020a)
(Ahmad, Ritzoulis, Pan, Chen, et al., 2020)
(Ahmad, Ritzoulis, Pan, & Chen, 2020b)
When I edited the food-chemistry.csl, I found it using 188BET靠谱吗//www.brodersterzo.com/styles/apa, need I change something to show them correctly?

Example two reference: https://pastebin.com/uXvtDKzmas .json format.

The apa.csl could be found in the 'hidden' folder,
  • I'm getting the expected
    (Ahmad et al., 2020c)
    (Ahmad et al., 2020b)
(Ahmad et al., 2020a) in APA using the JSON you posted on pastebin.Have you checked in a new document? The style editor?
  • 188BET靠谱吗In the zotero style editor, it shows:
    (Ahmad et al., 2020b)
    (Ahmad et al., 2020a)
    (Ahmad et al., 2020c)

In a new document, it also shows correctly.

    But can it show as

    (Ahmad et al., 2020a)
    (Ahmad et al., 2020b)
    (Ahmad et al., 2020c)

    ?
  • The order is determined by the bibliography, which sorts by title. That's correct APA style. If you want to change that, you can sort the bibliography by citation number after authors, but I'd recommend against it
  • Got it, thanks a lot
